Scouts of Nabeul, Tunisia
and the 9th & 18th Whitley Bay Scouts
International friendship is not a one off
experience just to be had at a Jamboree, it is a starting point for
possible long term international friendships.
The combined contingent of the 9th & 18th
Whitley Bay Scout groups first met up with the scouts of Nabeul,
Tunisia at a Jamboree in Northumberland in 1995 since then they met
at a further Jamboree in 1999, culminating with a joint camp and
stay in Tunisia during 2001. The Tunisian Scouts proved to be
incredibly excellent hosts, and are a living example of what
International friendship between scouts actually means. We hope to
build on our friendship when we camp together at WINGS2003 this
summer.
